The Exhaustion Of Cancer

It has been 11 days since the last chemo dose and, once again we are reminded that cancer is all about one step forward and two steps back. While I would like to report that since coming off of chemo, we have been spending our days planning for Trey's upcoming graduation from UNF. Or that we have been eagerly scheduling our itinerary for family vacations... The truth is more difficult. Throughout this entire journey we have remained positive and now, more than ever, we are continuing to do so. But, in the last 11 days, Trey quickly went from being in high spirits, to wanting to sleep all day. With concerns we called the doctor, the doctor confirmed this could be a turn for the worse or just the way his body is dealing with the change off of the chemotherapy. Our doctor requested waiting a few more weeks and then we will proceed with another scan to see where we are at. At this point in time we are putting it out there for the universe that we made the right choice and things will work in our favor.
